Activities specifically focused on personal growth, self-awareness, and actualizing our potential.
Growth and Self-Awareness
-
Role-play simulations: A person describes a real-life situation they find difficult or uncomfortable — such as a job interview, giving a talk in front of an audience, or asking someone on a date. The group then acts it out together, so the person can practice and build comfort in a safe, supportive environment. After the role-play, everyone reflects on how it went and what felt easier or harder. The person then carries that rehearsed confidence into the real situation.
-
Hot seat: One person sits in the center and openly shares a problem, difficulty, or complaint they are facing. The others are deliberately and honestly tough with them, calling out self-limiting patterns, excuses, or “bullshit” they are telling themselves which is holding them back. This is done with the person’s full consent, and the default tone remains caring; however, the person in the seat may explicitly request a more blunt and challenging style if that is what they need. The exercise often produces a mix of discomfort, insight, and laughter of embarrassment about one’s failings, and may create powerful bonding.
